Hi, I'm Andrew...
I wear a lot of hats—literally and metaphorically. Hats tell us a lot about personality, as most communicate a message. They tell people your favorite team or sport, your preferred style, maybe even what kind of day you’re having. My literal hats say a lot about me: I’m a huge Arsenal fan (English football, aka “soccer”), a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I enjoy a good episode of Seinfeld, I’m somewhat handy around the house, and running is a common outlet. My metaphorical hats also say a lot about me: I am a husband, a father (got a lot of dad hats), a pastor, and a doctoral student at Wheaton College, studying spiritual leadership.
I’m not a clinical therapist, but a pastor at heart. I’ve been pastoring for 17 years, and in that time I have had the joy of sitting on the couch with a lot of parishioners to help them navigate challenging life circumstances and broken relationships. I work to help people see the belief system that they live according to, because what we believe about God and ourselves often informs our behavior. With this approach, I have worked with couples and individuals alike, offering pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, and individual counseling for things like spiritual guidance, relational conflict, and unwanted sexual behavior.
