Hi, I'm Ashton...
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. My clinical interests include working with children who have experienced trauma, those impacted by divorce, and those experiencing neurodiversity. I strive to approach my therapeutic sessions through the lens of parent-child attachment, recognizing the profound impact that early relationships have on emotional development and overall well-being. I integrate art therapy and play therapy techniques to provide a creative and experiential approach to healing.
Additionally, I am passionate about supporting women ages 16 and older who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational challenges. My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel seen, heard, and validated, empowering them to explore and express their emotions freely.
I am dedicated to working with individuals who have experienced trauma across the lifespan, from early childhood to adulthood. My approach is grounded in empathy and understanding, with a focus on facilitating deep emotional healing. The ultimate goal is to help clients process and integrate their experiences, enabling them to move forward with greater resilience and a renewed sense of freedom. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you in this journey, providing support and guidance as you work toward healing and transformation. Outside of my clinical work, I am a proud dog-mom of two and find joy in spending time hiking or on trails. I have a deep appreciation for literature, particularly fiction, fine art, as well as a passion for film critique and analysis. With an academic background in Art History and Film Studies, I have developed a strong interest in integrating creative and expressive techniques, such as art therapy, into my therapeutic practice to support healing and personal growth.
