Art, music, and play therapy techniques

Hi, I'm Anna...

My primary modality is Person-Centered theory, and I believe that God has given individuals the inner resources they need to live an abundant life. I would like to help my clients find out how to use those resources as they pursue healing and wholeness. Whether they are seeking help with an overload of daily life stressors in our fast paced society, walking through a season of hard transition, overcoming a traumatic experience, or simply seeking to improve their sense of wellbeing, I would like to help nurture healing in a safe environment, making sure my clients feel seen and supported.

I believe children should be heard and respected as people and my desire is to use their primary language of play to help them sort through their struggles, as well as drawing on my fine arts educator background, by incorporating measures of music and art therapy techniques to help with appropriate emotional expression. I also use age-appropriate bibliotherapy, because we all learn through story-telling.

As a person who has experienced the healing process of counseling myself and knows the freedom that comes with discovering the root cause of an obstacle, I would love to help you or child find clarity, perspective, and hope as you seek healing.
