Hi, I’m Ken…
I grew up loving music – the sounds, the composition, the pieces and parts that come together to form a wonderful whole that is simple and complex, majestic and humble, haunting and beautiful…learning that multiple conditions can be true and exist at the same time, much like our lives. We often try to see our lives play out the way we think they are supposed to go, but oftentimes, we discover that, like trying to put a jigsaw puzzle together without the guiding image of the box, we are forcing pieces to fit and work in one area when they are designed for another area. I help my clients build their awareness of how this may play out in their own lives, and seek to help them understand how God has made us. I believe that with greater alignment to His design of us and plans for us, we can resolve and process the issues of our pasts so that we are free to live without them today.
I approach counseling in a somewhat holistic manner, guided by a person centered approach to counseling and how God instructs us in His Holy Word. I aim to see the whole of each client’s person and help them identify strengths that may have been misunderstood or viewed as an issue. I hope to build my clients' perspective and understanding in a way that empowers them to respond instead of react.
